Our School of Education pioneers the delivery of high-quality international programmes to the benefit of teachers, trainers, lecturers, educational administrators, coaches and human resource development professionals. We have been offering competencies-based professional programmes for more than five years. To date, over two thousand teaching/education professionals from Sri Lanka and abroad have been part of our training and development processes.
We offer qualifications in partnership with prestigious international institutions: The University of Nottingham for an MA in Education and Pearson Edexcel for Professional Teaching Diploma and Professional Advanced Teaching Diploma. The University of Nottingham, a Russell Group and research-led higher education institution in the UK, is in top 1% of the universities worldwide. The university’s School of Education is ranked 25th in the world and 4th in the UK by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the premier ranking system for international higher education institutions. Pearson Edexcel, based out of the UK is one of the leading international qualifications awarding institutions.
The School of Education and Training is also central to a number of groundbreaking initiatives in Sri Lanka, undertaken by the Gateway organisation. These include the annual conferences for teachers (International Forum for Teachers), The Sri Lankan Teacher of the Year Award and Summer Camp training at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) for teachers and senior education administrators of private and public sector schools.
